Ultraviolette EV has announced that they have received Rs.30 Cr as apart of Series B investment from TVS motors today. The picture was taken during the F77 Launch event The EV is the future of transportation as almost all the automobile companies are trying to enter or establish their own EV product line. Companies like TESLA, Rivian, AUDI, BMW and a few others had already made their impression in EV. But in India, the story is different because there are very few EV players on a small scale level. Companies like TATA and Hero moto corp are investing nickles and dimes many EV startups like Tork motors and Ather Energy. Upcoming update on Chrome, Google Omnibox will try help keep you safe from phishing:

Google resumes its safety attack on the Omnibook, will show only domine name of the website.
Google update on Omnibox/knoweverything.com
Google has been trying to hide full URLs in Chrome's address bar AKA ‘Omnibox’ for the past few years, google chrome has changed a lot over the years there are no more home buttons, We browse with tabs instead of opening a new window every time and websites with only Gif’s is no more the pinnacle of cool, But one thing stuck around over all the updates made by Google is the ‘Omnibox(address bar)’ which shows us where we exactly are in the ‘ocean of www’.

Google is planning to change the fundamental of address bar which would only show us the “domine name” of the website. That is instead of showing the full extension  ‘https://www.youtube.com/?gl=IN&taab=r21’ like this, the address bar will only show you ‘https://www.youtube.com/’ the domine name irrespective of the webpage you are on a website. But still, you can always see the full link when you move your cursor to the address bar of google chrome.

These changes will product you from phishing (i.e,) any fake websites which look exactly like the real website helps the hacker to steal the users’ sensitive data like credit card details, bank account details etc. Google always has concerns for its user privacy and tries to protect their personal data, it also made few other changes before such as ‘http:// (or) https:// (or) a lock icon’ before the website name then it is safe for you to browse, but this new change in Omnibox will make the job of a hacker tougher than before. More the length of extension easier the way to fake the webpage/website.
As of March 2020, Google chrome accounted for about 68% of the global desktop/laptop Internet browser market share. As it shares the major market share the hackers will also spend more time to study the web browser. I believe Google will take further more steps in the near future to prevent users from fake websites. What do you say? Share your thought below.
