Ultraviolette EV has announced that they have received Rs.30 Cr as apart of Series B investment from TVS motors today. Companies like TESLA, Rivian, AUDI, BMW and a few others had already made their impression in EV. But in India, the story is different because there are very few EV players on a small scale level. Companies like TATA and Hero moto corp are investing nickles and dimes many EV startups like Tork motors and Ather Energy. ‘Fair & Lovely’ is no more the same, HUL to drop ‘Fair’ form 'Fair & Lovely' in bid to be inclusive:

Today 25th June 2020, The famous FMCG brand HUL announced that it is gonna be more inclusive with its well-renowned cosmetic product ‘Fair & Lovely’ as its dropping the word ‘Fair’ to be inclusive for all skin tones.


The brand is going to rebrand the product by removing ‘Fair’, amid continuing anti-racism protest and activism, triggered by the police killing of an African-American George Floyd. The product is First introduced in India decades ago, Fair & Lovely became a bestselling product by racking up sales of about Rs 4,000 crore in 2019, as it tapped into the perspective that equated fairness with beauty.

This is the recent tweet from the parent company Unilever in which they said “We’re committed to a skincare portfolio that's inclusive of all skin tones, celebrating the diversity of beauty. That’s why we’re removing the words ‘fairness’, ‘whitening’ & ‘lightening’ from products, and changing the Fair & Lovely brand name”.
